Airspace Infringement Workshop – EUROCONTROL HQ
Launched at the beginning of 2006, the Airspace Infringement Safety Initiative is an essential thread within the ESP Activity Filed 5 – Safety Management Enhancement. The main objective is to develop a European-wide Action plan for airspace infringement risk reduction.
The Airspace infringement workshop – Mastering the European Solution – is considered a significant step towards achieving the initial objective. It cumulates the efforts undertaken by various stakeholders (civil and military service providers, GA establishments, Agency) during the initial development phase to identify the actual causal factors and promising risk mitigation strategies and means.
The workshop took place on 24 January 2008 at EUROCONTROL in Brussels and enabled:
- Consolidation of the knowledge acquired in the initial development phase
- Identification of the potential impact of planned ATM developments in the short and medium-term on the airspace infringement risk
- Identification of safety improvement recommendations to support establishing a European action plan for airspace infringement risk reduction.
CIS team presented the General Aviation Airspace Infringement Survey.
